Due to forecasts for continued severe weather resulting in area power outages, and concerns regarding impacts on roads and facilities throughout the evening, Berkeley County School District (BCSD) schools and offices will operate on a 2-hour weather delay on Wednesday, January 10.
There will be no before school care programs, but after school programs and athletics will resume normal operations on Wednesday.
Bus riders will report to bus stops two hours later than their regularly scheduled time. Information concerning school start times and bell schedules when operating on a 2-hour weather delay is available on the BCSD website here: https://www.bcsdschools.net/o/bcsd/page/school-bell-schedules.
District officials are continuing to work closely with the Berkeley County Emergency Management Department, local power providers, and law enforcement to monitor the weather and potential impact on the county. Officials are also receiving regular updates from the National Weather Service.
As safety and security is our number one priority, all decisions are made with the safety of students, staff, and families in mind.

Due to the potential for severe weather on Tuesday, January 9, Berkeley County School District (BCSD) announced that students will learn from home and complete eLearning Day assignments on Tuesday. All schools and offices will be closed Tuesday. Schools and offices will resume normal operations on Wednesday, January 10.

During the past two weeks, Mrs. Stephens (Elementary Counselor) has conducted a Coping Skills Café in classroom guidance for grades K–5. The children explored many stations related to coping techniques, including yoga, journaling, breathing, building, art, and music.

To better serve the physical and mental wellbeing of those who work for BCSD, the YMCA has partnered with the school district to provide free memberships to all BCSD employees. Tonight is our final night for donations because our Loggerhead Turtle Crawl is tomorrow.
If you are attending the run, please come inside the front office to sign in first before going to the field.
Reminder, middle schoolers will be getting color thrown on them, please send them to school in clothes and shoes that can get color on them. (it does wash out)
Also send your students to school with a water bottle that has their name on it, and athletic shoes that they can run in.

Due to the potential for severe weather resulting from Hurricane Idalia, Berkeley County School District (BCSD) schools will follow the half-day dismissal bell schedule (https://www.bcsdschools.net/o/bcsd/page/school-bell-schedules) on Wednesday, August 30. Thursday, August 31, students will learn from home and complete eLearning Day assignments. All schools and offices will be closed Thursday. BCSD will resume normal operations Friday, September 1.
Before and after-school care programs, activities, and athletics, to include practices and games, are canceled for Wednesday, August 30, and Thursday, August 31. Normal activities and operations will resume on Friday, September 1.
On Thursday, August 31, students will complete eLearning assignments from home via Schoology, Google Classroom, SeeSaw, or other designated virtual learning platforms. Specific information about assignments will be provided by the student’s teacher and/or school. Teachers will share information regarding their office hours to support students completing eLearning assignments at home. Due to the potential for severe weather, and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of students, staff, and families, the district will not operate virtual feeding sites on Wednesday or Thursday.
BCSD officials work in partnership with Berkeley County Emergency Management and receive regular updates regarding the weather from the National Weather Service.
As safety and security is our number one priority, officials will continue to monitor the weather and assess any resulting damage.
Schools and offices will reopen and resume normal operations on Friday, September 1.
