The horses tame the knights 49-29

The Philip Simmons Iron Horse girls basketball team beat the Stratford Knights last night with a final score of 49-29.  Freshman guard Kennedy Rivers led the team in points with 14. The Horses play the Lowcountry Wildcats this Thursday Dec. 19th at 6:00 pm at home. Come support your Iron Horses!

Put a ring on it

PSH Boys Tennis won a State Championship last year and received their rings last night at the basketball games. What a season gentleman! Congrats!

Track & Field Practice

Voluntary Track and Field practice will be Monday-Thursday from 4:00 to 5:30 through the month of January starting on Tuesday January 7th at the track. Must have physical and all other paperwork on file. Contact Coach Muhn at if you have questions or need paperwork. Mandatory practice starts in February.

Cross Country Ran the Competition

The PSH boys cross country team ran the competition this past Tuesday as the places second in the AA State meet. Noah Ward repeated as AA State Champion and Henry Wood, Colin Nemeth, and Noah Ward all qualified for ALL-STATE. The PSH girls team placed third. Great job runners!

Trident United Way-Day of Caring

On Thursday November 14th, student-athletes from various sports teams participated in the Trident United Way Day of Caring at the three Philip Simmons school locations.  The boys basketball team assisted the school custodians in cleaning, wiping down desks, and sweeping the high school gym floors and bleachers. Great job teams!

Basketball gets involved

The boys basketball team had the pleasure of speaking with Vladimir about his personal experience with Operation Christmas Child and the effect it had on his growth and development as a professional. The boys enjoyed packing boxes to send abroad to families in need.
